Different Shot Types

To start i am goin to have my character walking towards a close door using a long shot, this will give the feeling of the character imposing and getttin closer. This will take a couple of basic shots. Next i will have my character walking throught the door and this will cover the aspect of 'match on action' in my film. The character will be shown walking to the door placing his hand about to push (by now the audience will know he is going to apear on the other side of the door) and i will use match on action as the door gets opened on the inside and we will see character A walk through using a long shot. From here he will walk over to character B and shake hands, showing togetherness in the scene.

From here they will sit down and the 180 degree rule will be used at a medium close up to give a feelin of first person'ness as i switch from one side to the other showing an exchange of dialogue. From here my characters will go and have a game of ping pong, this game should display shot/reverse shot as the the ball goes from one side to the other, i will also be able to use match on action once again here.Above is an example to help give an idea of the different types of shot i intend to use.
